Print & Copy Bureau Privacy Notice
This Notice explains how we will collect and use your personal data.
We are the Data Controller for the data that you submit to us.
Throughout this Notice, “University”, “we”, “our” and “us” refers to the University of Leeds. “You” and “your” refers to those data subjects using the Print & Copy Bureau.
Changes to this Notice
We shall inform you of any changes to this Notice by means of this website.
You will be asked to provide your personal data when you register as a customer with Print & Copy Bureau.
If the material that you submit for printing contains the personal data of third parties it is your responsibility to ensure that you have explained how their data will be used.. The Print & Copy Bureau will only use the material that you submit in the way that you have asked them (i.e. for printing or reproduction.)
The processing of your personal data is necessary for the performance of the contract that you have entered into with the University in order to process your print or related requirements.
Who might we share your data with
The information that you provide to the University will be stored securely and access will be restricted to those members of staff who need it. The University will not share your personal data, or the material which you submit for processing, with third parties.
Automated collection of personal data
As with most other web servers, when you access the Print & Copy Bureau webpages certain information you provide will automatically be recorded by the University. This will include your IP address, browser type, and information relating to the page you last visited. This information is processed to estimate how much usage of the server is made by different categories of users and, in the event of a breach of security, may be used to aid detection.
We will hold your personal information on our systems as long as you remain a customer of Print & Copy Bureau. Once you are no longer a customer we will securely delete your data after six years in line with the University of Leeds retention policy. When items are collected surnames are used to identify orders. These records are kept for six months in the event of a query and then destroyed as confidential waste.
Your rights as a data subject
You have the right to:
- access your personal data;
- request the rectification or deletion of your personal data;
- request the restriction of the processing of your personal data;
- object to the processing of your personal data;
- receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used format and to;
- complain to the regulator (the Information Commissioner’s Office).
